Merry Christmas

Everywhere all over the world, Christians celebrates Christmas. It is the anniversary of the birth of Christ. It is a joyous holiday, marked by colourful decorations, family reunions and gatherings, traditional carolling, exquisite food and exchanging of gifts.

Christmas usually, you can see Christmas trees every corner of the house and they have Christmas lights, lanterns and decorations. You can hear carolling outside your neighbourhood, children and adults singing Christmas songs. You can see the busy streets of shopping malls as well; people buying stuffs- ingredients for the food, gifts for the children. And Christmas also is the time for the parents to have a little holiday from work, children having their break from school, families come together to gather and have a little celebration. It is the time where sharing and loving really emerges.

But are we missing the most important part of the celebration? Christmas is the time we give thanks to God for everything, for Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, Our Saviour. To all Christians celebrating Christmas, we must not forget the true meaning of Christmas, and why we are celebrating it.

Happy holidays and have a joyous Christmas everybody and God bless you and your family!
