Adios January 2011 semester

Hello to the May 2011 semester!

It has always been a tradition in Church of Praise that we would hold our Introduction/Welcoming Night beginning of every semester to welcome the new juniors.

And I had to testify that God answered our prayers! He brought in so many juniors with multiple talents. All glory to God.

I need Jesus. You do too. :)

Easter Service Celebration

What is an Easter Sunday?

-It is when we remember that God sacrifices His Son, Jesus for our sins. Jesus suffered on the cross and the best part of all, HE CONQUERED DEATH AND RESURRECTED.

COP Tronoh, had something on 24th April 2011 Sunday. A simple Easter Sunday Celebration in remembrance of our Conqueror and Saviour, Jesus.

Praise and Worship, lead by Jason and the worship team.

Welcoming Night 2011 CNY Edition

And so just you know, we have successfully had our Welcoming Night CNY Edition for the January 2011 semester! *party whistles and throws confetti


Since it's CNY Edition, the dress code is to wear anything that is red in color. And indeed, that night, The Olives was practically filled with all sorts of people, in red. It was such a wondrous sight to see everyone gathering, munching away on CNY goodies and fellowshipping.


People came pouring in at around 7-ish, the weather was amazing, and one thing to testify is that the committees have done all they could and eventually God provided the people! Hooray!

It started off with chit chats, and later on everyone gathered in this really huge circle, for the ice breaker. The game is called the 'blanket game', where once the blanket drops, 2 people who are seated facing one another has to call out each others' name. The whole place rang with laughter when you see panicked faces trying to recall ones' name.

Food came next! thanks to the committees, we had food from Kampung Bali. Fried rice, fried mee, Nestum Chicken, Seafood Tofu, Vegetables and drinks.

Up next, praise and worship. It was just superb. I hope God touched each and everyone of you personally.
Station games! 5 groups, roughly about 6 members in each group.


Everyone was seen racing here and there, trying to get hold of the game masters. Once done, signatures taken, next station!




Soon everyone was practically out of breath, with some having to eat/drink unknown concoctions.




The night ended with more chit chats, and people bidding farewell to one another, leaving with a smile plastered on their faces.


I hope all of you enjoyed yourselves, in God's presence. Cause I know I did! See you guys again!

2011 WELCOMING NIGHT

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

It's a new year and a new semester. As 2011 is starting and new semester is going, COP Tronoh will have a WELCOMING NIGHT to all current members and to the new faces. So let's be excited because we will have a CNY EDITION and remember to wear something RED.

We will welcome each other and celebrate CNY together. We will have praise and worship, games and food. So we come together and bring as many as CNY goodies and your friends along!
