Merry Christmas

Everywhere all over the world, Christians celebrates Christmas. It is the anniversary of the birth of Christ. It is a joyous holiday, marked by colourful decorations, family reunions and gatherings, traditional carolling, exquisite food and exchanging of gifts.

Christmas usually, you can see Christmas trees every corner of the house and they have Christmas lights, lanterns and decorations. You can hear carolling outside your neighbourhood, children and adults singing Christmas songs. You can see the busy streets of shopping malls as well; people buying stuffs- ingredients for the food, gifts for the children. And Christmas also is the time for the parents to have a little holiday from work, children having their break from school, families come together to gather and have a little celebration. It is the time where sharing and loving really emerges.

But are we missing the most important part of the celebration? Christmas is the time we give thanks to God for everything, for Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, Our Saviour. To all Christians celebrating Christmas, we must not forget the true meaning of Christmas, and why we are celebrating it.

Happy holidays and have a joyous Christmas everybody and God bless you and your family!

CNY Celebration in Ipoh Main Church

We went to Church Of Praise Main Church in Ipoh for the CNY celebration last sunday. It was a great service and after the service we had a great lunch together with all the brothers and sisters in Christ.

Besides, the performances prepared by the groups were awesome as well and all of us enjoyed ourselves very much. Here are some of the pics to share. :)

Pastor Clement and Pastor Phebe sharing. :P Pastor Clement was being humurous as usual. hehe...

the adults fellowship sang a CNY song. :)

ah...the seniors performed some classic duet as well! hehe...very interesting outfit. hehe...

concentrating during the sermon. The sermon was about from living long life to eternity from the chinese perspectives. We don't want long life but instead eternal life where there's no end to it. The eternal life can only be found in Jesus. :)

Sunday Service after the CNY Break

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Hope everyone had a great celebration or holidays!

Our church had our service again after the break due to Chinese New Year holidays in the university. here are some pics to share. :D

during praise and worship time

part of the worship team

Pastor Clement preached today

everyone was listening attentively. The message was about purpose in life. food for thought of the day is our purpose after graduation is not just about getting a job but God has a purpose for us to get the job or our purpose is not to marry a wife or husband, but God has a purpose for us to marry to the person. :)

after the service we had some light refreshments. All the cookies and food were brought by the members, everyone brought a little then became a lot! :)

someone brought a box of mandarin oranges! that's cool right? :D

and some soft drinks. :)

everyone was having a great time. great fellowship! :)

the food and cookies were great as well! thank God for good food and good heart ! hehe

want some? :P

Next week we will be going to the Main Church in Ipoh for CNY Celebration! Hope to see you there! It's going to be exciting! :D
